How does photovoltaic solar PV electrification work?
DC direct current solar systems PV
Systems with accumulators without inverter (DC direct current, minimum system)
Systems with accumulators without inverter (direct current)
Components:
Photovoltaic solar panel (generator)
Regulator (battery protector against deep discharge and overcharge)
Battery or accumulator (power reserve, to consume it for example at night)
Fuse, switch and fluorescent lamp (installation of concumo)
DC direct current photovoltaic system, Systems with accumulators without inverter
Quito, Ecuador, South America
Low voltage consumers (12 Volts direct current)
Equipment that can be directly connected to a 12 volt solar system (DC direct current):
Special 12V 20W fluorescent lamp
Radio recorder (battery or cell)
Black and white or silver TV (with 12V connector for the car)
12 V and gas refrigerator
12V halogen spotlight
12V blender
12V fan
12V water pump
Radio communication equipment
Notebook computers with special adapter
Battery and battery charger (special at 12 V)
Electric fences for livestock
Systems with accumulators without inverter (direct current, normal system)
Advantages of low voltage consumers:
- An advantage is that you do not have to buy the APS inverter (less cost).
- The APS equipment is an electronic inverter, which mainly transforms the voltage from 12 volts (from the battery) to a voltage of 110 volts (alternating, as in the public light).
- Direct connection possible
Disadvantages:
12-volt kits are slightly more expensive than the same 110-volt kits and cannot be purchased anywhere or in a warehouse.

Photovoltaic water pump systems that do not require batteries so the return on investment is very fast. These systems work fully automatic.
